The CCF RAF Section currently numbers 3 Officers and 57 cadets from Year 9 to 13.
The aim of the RAF Section is to stimulate interest in aviation and the RAF, whilst giving enjoyable experience of military, adventurous and leadership training.
Membership of the RAF Section also offers cadets a fantastic opportunity for learning to fly. Once you have reached the age of 13 years and 3 months you will have the opportunity to take to the skies with Royal Air Force pilots in Tutor aircraft.
All cadets follow a syllabus which provides opportunities for them to develop:

• Leadership Skills
• Teamwork Skills
• Military knowledge
• First aid skills
• Confidence
The RAF Section offers places on courses including:
• Gliding
• Leadership
• Overseas camps
• RAF Flying scholarships
• International Air Cadet Exchange for exceptional cadets.
• RAF cadets can also apply for places on courses run by the RAF and ARMY sections.
